Dr. Frank van der Heide is a physician-scientist at the Fondation Ophtalmologique Adolphe de Rothschild (HFAR) in Paris. He earned his MD and PhD from Maastricht University and an MSc in Epidemiology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research focuses on retinal imaging as a tool for early detection of cognitive decline and dementia. He also holds degrees in classical piano from the Maastricht Music Academy, combining scientific expertise with artistic insight.
