A webinar to discover how patient voices supports the research in cognitive health – Join us on June 8th!

6 May 2026

Cardiologists, neurologists, nurses and general practitioners are invited to join an insightful webinar on how public and patient involvement is transforming cardiovascular research. “From heart to mind: how public and patient involvement supports research to prevent cognitive impairment in cardiovascular disease” will explore the essential role of patient perspectives in advancing research and improving care outcomes.

The webinar will take place on 8 June 2026 from 15:00 to 16:30 CEST. This event is a collaborative project with DORIAN GRAY and it’s organized by ACNAP, a dynamic association specialised in prevention, rehabilitation, and management of patients with cardiovascular disease.

Why attend?

Public and patient involvement is reshaping cardiovascular research. This webinar will provide valuable insights into how actively engaging patients and the public in research not only enhances the research process but also results in better outcomes and more personalized, effective treatments. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how this collaboration fosters more meaningful research that directly benefits patient care.

Expected outcome:

  • Clarify the difference between public involvement (PI) in research, participation, and engagement.

  • Learn how patient involvement has driven real-world innovations, such as the development of mobile apps and exergames, which have proven to enhance patient care and support self-management of cardiovascular conditions.
